Four Plants Recognized as Bronze AEMA Excellence in Manufacturing Awardees & 20 Plants Recognized as Silver AEMA Excellence in Manufacturing Awardees

In 2025, four AEMA member plants applied for and were awarded the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturer’s Association (AEMA) Excellence in Manufacturing Award- Bronze. Twenty three AEMA member plants applied for and were awarded the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturer’s Association (AEMA) Excellence in Manufacturing Award- Silver.

The AEMA Excellence in Manufacturing Award is presented to qualifying plants that meet or exceed AEMA requirements demonstrating best practices in all areas of manufacturing. In addition to providing a measurement of best practices, the award offers plants an avenue for continuous improvement, a demonstration of good corporate citizenship, and a way to display community friendly operations.

Based on a self-assessment application process, reviewed area criteria include plant appearance, operations, quality control, laboratory, environmental practices, safety, and community relations. Applicants must submit photos of various areas of their plant and signed affidavits from plant and division managers as well as an outside third party. All applications are reviewed by an Award Committee composed of industry experts to ensure accuracy of assessments.

All plants were formally recognized at AEMA’s annual awards ceremony during its 53rd Annual Meeting, February 17-20, 2025 in Austin, TX.
