The team met with the offices of Sen. Moran (R-KS),  Sen. Hagerty (R-TN), Sen. Blackburn (R-T), Sen. Padilla (D-CA), Sen. Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Cornyn (R-TX), Rep. Guest (R-MS), Rep. Torres (D-CA), Rep. LaTurner (R-KS), and Rep. Davis (R-IL). At each office visit, the team focused on promoting pavement preservation and the key role it could have during the role out of the Infrastructure and Investment Jobs Act (IIJA) bill. Pavement preservation projects across the country are a perfect fit for the Carbon Reduction program and it is up to the industry to make sure government officials are made aware of this topic. The idea of pavement preservation sells itself, but it is important to keep the pressure on the decision makers. The pavement preservation industry has several successful methods to preserve the taxpayer’s initial investment, and it was an honor to be a part of this group to lead in those discussions.
