Alan CamposStaff Engineer, Pavement Recycling SystemsMy journey began in Mexico, and at the age of eight, I moved to Southern California, which has been my home ever since. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Electronic Systems Engineering. My career in the pavement industry started as a Project Engineer at Pavement Coatings Co., where I developed expertise in slurry seal and coating applications, as well as mix design. I've recently transitioned to Pavement Recycling Systems as a Staff Engineer, where I'm excited to contribute to special projects and research and development.
Jorge CamposOperations Manager, Sustainable Emulsions, LLC. a Division of Pavement Recycling SystemsJorge is an Industrial Engineer who specializes in industrial automation processes. Over the past 15 years at PRS, he has contributed to numerous exciting ventures, including enhancing the use of RAP in slurries and chip applications, helping build the R&D department. Jorge also secured accreditation from AASHTO and CalTrans for the Material Testing Laboratory. Most recently, Jorge has played a key role in the design, construction, startup, and improvements of PRS's first Emulsions, SealCoat, and CoolSeal facilities in Colton, CA. Additionally, he holds two patents for innovations in equipment..

Ellie KennyLaboratory Technologist, Walker IndustriesEllie is an R&D Laboratory Technologist at Walker Emulsions, specializing in asphalt emulsions. Ellie attended Queen’s University where she received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering. With a strong foundation in scientific research and technology, she is excited to join the LEAP program and broaden her understanding of the industry. When not in the lab, you can find her experimenting with new crafts or playing pickleball with friends.
Carlos LopexEmulsions Laboratory Technician, Reed & Graham Inc.Carlos Lopez is an emulsions laboratory technician at Reed and Graham Inc, in San Jose, CA. He graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a B.S. in Biological Science in 2013. Carlos has over 10 years of experience in a laboratory setting, in the fields of entomology (2yrs), oil field (7 yrs) and asphalt emulsions (3 yrs) industries. Outside of work he enjoys training martial arts and watching movies.
Marty PowellTransportation Management Branch Chief, National Park ServiceHave worked for the National Parks service since 1992. Started working as an asphalt plant operator/ heavy Equipment operator for the first 10 years, then was the chip spreader and paver operator until 2017. In 2017, I moved into the position I hold know and administer the park's pavement preservation program and fleet operations.

Jenny SasserTechnical Manager of Asphalt Coatings, Paragon Technical Services, Inc.Jenny is the Technical Manager of Asphalt Coatings at Paragon Technical Services, the testing and development laboratory for Ergon Asphalt and Emulsions. She holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Doctorate in Biomedical Science from the Medical College of Georgia. After several years in academic biomedical research, Jenny joined the Paragon team in 2020. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter.
Stephanie StoughCustomer Support Specialist, BASF CorporationStephanie is an area native of Charlotte and currently lives in Lake Wylie, SC. After graduating with a Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, she has spent her entire career in the chemical industry and has been with BASF for the past 7 years. Supporting several markets in the construction industry, she found a love for asphalt shortly after joining BASF. Stephanie’s intent in participation of this year’s LEAP class is to help develop her technical understanding of the industry and strengthen her relationships within. When not working, she enjoys finding fun adventures with her daughter, trying new fitness classes, (poorly) playing golf, shopping, and spending time with friends. |
