Let's Get Technical- November 2023

As the cooler weather trends in more & more, and the spooky decorations get traded in for pumpkins, lights & decorated trees, we at the ITC, in our inaugural edition of Let’s Get Technical, would like to remind everyone that even if you can’t travel to every conference, the conferences can sometimes travel to you.

              The recent National Pavement Preservation Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana has made the presentations from the conference available publicly & online, including the regional sessions that occurred during the meeting. 4 days of detailed information is at the fingertips of any inquiring mind if they head to: (https://nationalpavement2023.org/presentations/) We recommend starting the Technical Sessions in the Materials & Pavement section with ILDOT’s Kelly Morse’s excellent overview for those new to the discipline.

              On a different note, As the traditional time for giving thanks approaches, the ITC would also like to take a moment to those who have volunteered their tireless time and effort over the years to keep the technical aspect of the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association alive. Without people like Arlis Kadrmas or Mike Hemsley, the Committee would not have achieved all that it has over the years.

              We are always looking for new committee volunteers from the technical staff of any of our members. We would like to ask that if you have any interest in being involved in the technical side of AEMA and its efforts to continue to move the industry, you should reach out to AEMA to find out where and how you can be involved.
