The industry has been moving right along as expected for the year of 2024. We left the last set of notes covering the PPRA annual meeting looking forward to this season. So far this has been an eventful year for the ITC with a new chair position and some shuffling of committees within AEMA’s ITC.

To recap this years meetings so far we will start with the ETF in person meeting in Indianapolis at The Heritage Research Center.  The meeting took place on May 5th of 2024. Several items from field research, ISSA updates, and information on the IBEF Sustainability Whitepaper were presented. The ETF research projects covered an immaculant amount of different preservation treatments from CIR to Sand seals. The link for presentations and more information can be found below.

The next meeting was on the international front and had quite a bit of AEMA support. IBEF met in a hybrid format during the 8th Eurobitumen Eurasphalt event. The event was held in Budapest Hungry and over 50 were in attendance. More joined online and a link to the Seminar can be watched there. In the seminar, a Sustainability White paper on emulsions and treatments was presented. 14 people some of which are AEMA members compiled to cover 3 important pillars and show the sustainable benefits of bitumen emulsions and treatments.

Arlis Kadrmas - IBEF use this link for a presentation on the White paper.

IBEF held its spring webinar in Budapest on the 18th June 2024. - IBEF use this link for full seminar access.
